Eyelid Surgery – Central Plains Aesthetic Surgery

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, can provide a better-defined eye and achieve a more alert and rejuvenated appearance. The surgery may be an option for you if you are experiencing difficulty with loose or sagging skin around your upper eye, bags under your eyes, or drooping lower eyelids. Through incisions in the natural creases of your eyelids, fat deposits are removed or repositioned, muscles are tightened, and any excess skin is removed. Depending on your unique condition, you may have the procedure performed on the upper, lower, or both of your eyelids.

After the procedure, you will experience some swelling, bruising, irritation, and possibly dry eyes. These will pass after a couple of weeks and you will be able to resume your daily activities with complete and final healing taking place over the next few months. You will notice immediate and long-lasting results, but natural aging will still progress with time. Diligent sun protection will aid in maintaining your results. Dr. Atchison will walk you through the procedure, as well as give you all the details you need for you to determine if this procedure is right for you.
